Bruen Black

From an early age, Bruen has participated in a variety of alternative construction techniques with his family. After moving to the west coast and building his parent's house on Quadra Island, Bruen returned to school for certifications in drafting and design, and a degree in engineering from University of Victoria, specializing in building energy flows and structure. Through his experiences, Bruen is striving to create beautiful, functional spaces that inspire and empower occupants as well as changing the way we look at creating housing solutions. This includes using more recycled materials and minimizing the impact of buildings on the environment. Bruen's hobbies include climbing, kayaking, blacksmithing, and carpentry projects.
